February 10, 2017 Criminal Justice Reform At 10:30 a.m. on February 15th in Committee Room 16 of the State House Annex in Trenton, the New Jersey Council on Local Mandates will consider oral arguments on the State’s motion to dismiss NJAC’s complaint that Criminal Justice Reform imposes an unfunded State mandate on county governments. NJ DOT Guidance to Counties and Municipalities

Michael Russo, Director of Local Aid & Economic Development for the NJ Department of Transportation, released a letter, dated January 10, 2017, to State Local Aid Grant Recipients informing them that the NJDOT will consider requests for additional funding on Transportation Trust Fund (TTF) funded projects that were impacted by Executive Orders 210 and 216. NJAC is no longer accepting seminar proposals for its 2017 Annual Conference.  The deadline was Friday, January 27th. The number of workshops are limited and your proposal should have been submitted with all necessary attachments to Loren Wizman, NJAC Business Development Director, at loren@njac.org.  The Conference Committee will give priority consideration to seminars approved for continuing education credits by the appropriate State agencies and the Rutgers University Center for Local Government Services.  The final decision is made by the executives of the conference committee.
