SHI International Corporation has awarded the NJAC Foundation a grant of $10,500.00 for county vocational-technical school graduates who plan on studying technology and cyber security at a county or state college in the fall.
“On behalf of the Board of Trustees of the NJAC Foundation, I’m thrilled that SHI has awarded the Foundation this generous grant; and, I look forward to working with our county vocational-technical schools in selecting scholarship winners committed to advancing their education in the great State of New Jersey,” commented NJAC Foundation President Donald De Leo.
Pursuant to the grant, the NJAC Foundation will award one $500.00 scholarship to a student nominated by the superintendent of their school in all twenty-one counties. The NJAC Foundation is a 501 (C)(3) non-profit organization affiliated with the New Jersey Association of Counties (NJAC) and is committed to providing financial assistance to county vocational-technical school graduates who plan on continuing their education at a county or state college. Sean Pandolfo, a 2020 Class graduate of Gloucester County Institute of Technology (GCIT), received his $500.00 scholarship award and certificate on Monday, June 29, 2020. Sean plans on attending Rowan University where he will major in Computer Science. The presentation took place outside at the school’s sign where all present could practice social distancing. Sean was presented the award by NJAC Foundation Member and Gloucester County Freeholder Heather Simmons and Ryan Beicher of SHI International. Also present were NJAC and NJAC Foundation Executive Director John G. Donnadio, Esq., GCIT Superintendent Michael Dicken, and GCIT Principal Jamie Dundee.
