2021 NJAC President John A. Cimino

On Friday, January 29, 2021, the New Jersey Association of Counties (NJAC) held its first ever virtual Reorganization Meeting and Swearing-In Ceremony. After NJAC Executive Director John G. Donnadio, Esq. opened the meeting and led the Pledge of Allegiance, Dr. Joseph Woods of St. Phillips Baptist Church of Hamilton, NJ performed the invocation and benediction.  Senator Vin Gopal of NJ Legislative District 11 swore in the organization’s 80th President, Mercer County Commissioner John A. Cimino. Cape May County Commissioner and NJAC’s 2020 President swore in the Executive Officers and Board of Directors. President Cimino led the meeting to discuss and approve routine business.  The December 11, 2020 meeting minutes, December 31, 2020 financial report and list of resolutions were unanimously approved.

The 2021 NJAC Executive Officers are:

  • President John A. Cimino, Mercer County Commissioner
  • 1st Vice President Teri O’Connor, Monmouth County Administrator
  • 2nd Vice President Joseph Derella, Cumberland County Commissioner
  • Secretary/Treasurer Shaun Van Doren, Hunterdon County Commissioner
  • Immediate Past President E. Marie Hayes, Cape May County Commissioner

After the Reorganization Meeting, the NJAC Board of Directors held a special meeting to discuss COVID-19 Vaccine challenges and its distribution roll out on the county level. Suggestions were made for improvements.
