NJAC NIGHT OF BASEBALL & FIREWORKS

Events on 18 Jul , 2019

Hartford Yard Goats vs. Trenton Thunder

July 18, 2019 – 7:00 p.m.

Arm & Hammer Stadium, Trenton

It was a stormy day but the rain stopped just in time for the game activities to begin.  It was Irish Heritage Night at the stadium.  An Irish band of bagpipers played on the field while young girls danced and the colorguard held the flags high in the air.  There was also a round of first pitches in which Burlington County Department of Corrections’ Sgt. Robert Inman’s son threw a strike across the plate representing NJAC.  As did Justin Tibbetts, Hunterdon County Facilities and Maintenance Supervisor, and his twin boys.  Afterwards the National Anthem was performed just before the teams took the field to start the first inning.

Trenton Thunder started strong but it wasn’t enough as the Hartford Yard Goats took over the game winning 9 to 1.  Still the fans enjoyed the game and the fireworks afterwards.
