NJAC provides scholarship opportunities through the NJAC Foundation, a 501 (C)(3) non-profit organization committed to providing financial assistance for county vocational-technical school graduates who plan on continuing their education at a New Jersey county or state college/university. Since 2011, the NJAC Foundation has awarded $600,000.00 in scholarships to over 1,000 students who continued their education at home in the Garden State. Through the generous grant funding from some of New Jersey’s leading corporate citizens, such as Investors Foundation, PSEG, New Jersey Manufacturers (NJM), Amazon, SHI International, South Jersey Industries (SJI), PKA Technologies, and AT&T, the Foundation has enjoyed the opportunity to provide some much-needed financial support to an impressive group of hardworking students.
- Investors Foundation, a division of Citizens Bank, awarded the Foundation with grants totaling $263,000.00 and the Foundation distributed scholarships in each county where Citizens Bank conducts business, which is every NJ county as of 2016.
- Through its Green Scholarship Program, PSEG awarded the Foundation with grants totaling $142,000.00 and the Foundation distributed scholarships in each county where PSEG maintains a service territory or generation facility.
- Wells Fargo awarded the Foundation a grant of $10,000.00 and the Foundation distributed scholarships in all twenty-one counties
- Verizon awarded the Foundation a grant a $15,000.00 and the Foundation distributed scholarships to county vocational-technical school graduates in all twenty-one counties.
- New Jersey Manufacturers (NJM) awarded the Foundation with grants totaling $57,500.00 and the Foundation distributed scholarships to students in the three counties where NJM maintains corporate headquarters.
- SHI International Corporation has awarded NJAC Foundation with grants totaling $52,000.00 and the Foundation distributed scholarships to county vocational-technical school graduates that intend on continuing their higher education with studies in information technology and cyber security.
- Amazon has awarded the Foundation with grants totaling $52,000.00 and the Foundation distributed scholarships in all twenty-one counties.
- South Jersey Industries (SJI) awarded NJAC Foundation with grants totaling $19,000.00 and NJAC Foundation distributed scholarships to students in 9 counties where SJI maintains a service territory. Those counties are: Atlantic, Burlington, Camden, Cape May, Cumberland, Gloucester, Middlesex, Salem, and Union.
- AT&T awarded NJAC Foundation with a grant of $31,500.00. NJAC Foundation has distributed scholarships to county vocational-technical school graduates in each county intending on furthering their education in cybersecurity, computer information systems, data analytics, database management, computer science, or a related field of study.
- PKA Technologies awarded NJAC Foundation with a grant of $5,000.00 and NJAC Foundation distributed scholarships to students in Essex County.
- VMware by Broadcom awarded a grant of $10,000.00 to the NJAC Foundation for scholarships to county vocational-technical school graduates who plan on continuing their education in New Jersey at a county college or state college or university. All award recipients must plan to pursue a degree in technology or cyber security. The students must be from Bergen, Hudson, Middlesex, Monmouth, Morris, Ocean, Passaic, Somerset, Sussex, and Union counties.
