In-person training on January 26 at Rutgers New Brunswick through the NJ Climate Change Resource Center which is hosted at Rutgers.
Check-in and coffee begin at 8:30 AM.
Training begins promptly at 9 AM and wraps up around 4:30 PM.
The morning will focus on climate change impacts in NJ, resilience and adaptation concepts, and how to assess community vulnerability. The afternoon will focus on state/federal agencies’ requirements for local governments, the types of support they offer, and the elements of good resilience planning. Speakers include the NJ Department of Community Affairs, NJ Department of Environmental Protection, NJ Infrastructure Bank, NJ Office of Emergency Management, NJ Office of Planning Advocacy, Federal Emergency Management Agency, and experts from Rutgers. We will offer CFM and AICP CEUs.
The training is limited to 50 spots.
