YOUR COMMUNITY NEEDS HEROS!

September is National Recovery Month.  On Saturday, September 15th, the New Jersey Recovery Advocates (NJRA) is hosting a walk/rally in the North Cove Field of Liberty State Park to raise awareness, create synergies and serve as the “tripping point” for effectively addressing the disease of addiction.  It is anticipated that this event will go far to offer hope to the suffering, demonstrate the reality of recovery from addiction to serve to eliminate the discrimination and stigma attached to this prevalent disease.  This event will take place rain or shine.  Liberty State Park is located at 200 Morris Pesin Drive in Jersey City, NJ.

Addiction is impacting every street, every town and every community in New Jersey.  More people are dying from drug overdoses than car accidents.  This public health crisis is destroying families; devastating our neighbors; permeating every community and is the pandemic of our time.  We can no longer “just say no” or arrest our way out of this plague.  We must offer real solutions to those afflicted by this disease.  And the solution is RECOVERY.

As a socially conscious member of the community, you understand the positive impact an event like this can have on the lives of those in need.  NJRA embraces your interest in making New Jersey a state where its people can live healthy and full lives, including freedom from the bondage of substance abuse.  Towards that end, NJRA invites you to be a part of the solution.  Sponsorship and exhibitor opportunities are available for your consideration.  Please be sure to complete the sponsorship/exhibitor/donation form.  Visit www.newjerseyrecoveryadvocates.org or email info@newjerseyrecoveryadvocates.org with any questions or concerns.
