The New Jersey Association of Counties (NJAC) held a presentation on the 988 Suicide Crisis and Lifeline Toolkit as its fourth in a series of virtual workshops NJAC is hosting on a variety of topics that impact county governments across the State. In summary, this session provided an overview of the State’s new 988 Suicide Crisis & Lifeline Toolkit where you may call or text 988, or chat 988.lifeline.org if you or someone you know is having thoughts of suicide or experiencing a mental or substance use crisis.
Today’s guest speaker for this workshop was Valerie Mielke, MSW, the Assistant Commissioner of the Division of Mental Health & Addiction Services from the New Jersey Department of Human Services.
