The New Jersey Association of Counties is pleased to announce that United States Congressman Tom MacArthur is confirmed as the keynote speaker of our 65th Annual Celebration of County Government.

Tom and his wife Debbie have been married over 32 years and are the parents of three children: David (age 25), Isabella (age 17), and Gracie, who sadly passed away at age eleven. They belong to St. Peter’s Church in Barnegat Light, where they also created the St. Peter’s Sandy Relief Fund.
Tom and Debbie also run a family foundation, which supports work ranging from disaster relief, to serving wounded warriors, to AIDS work in Africa, to distributing thousands of wheelchairs worldwide in memory of their daughter Gracie.
In November 2014, Tom was elected to the House of Representatives from New Jersey’s Third District. He serves on the House Armed Services Committee and the House Natural Resources Committee. He also sits on the Federal Lands Subcommittee, the Water, Power, and Oceans Subcommittee, the Tactical Air and Land Subcommittee and serves as the Vice Chairman of the Military Personnel Subcommittee.
Tom’s seats on the House Armed Services Committee and as the Vice Chairman of the Military Personnel Subcommittee will help him be a strong advocate for his district’s 65,000 veterans and the only tri-service military base in the country, Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst. Additionally, his seats on the Natural Resources Committee will help him preserve and protect New Jersey’s resources like Barnegat Bay, the Pinelands, and the forty miles of Jersey Shore in his district.
Tom began his career as an Insurance Adjuster in New York City after graduating from Hofstra University. He enjoyed a 28-year career in the insurance industry, finally serving as Chairman and CEO of York Risk Services Group, Inc. (1999-2010).
Following his career in the private sector, Tom also served as a local Mayor and Councilman.
