2015 County Vocational Technical Schools – Culinary Arts Students
The 4th Annual County Vocational-Technical School Cook-Off Challenge was hosted by the New Jersey Association of Counties during its 65th Annual Celebration of County Government on May 8th at Caesar’s in Atlantic City. The Cook-Off Challenge took place at 12:30 p.m. in a section of the Palladium Ballroom/main exhibit hall on the second floor of Caesar’s.
Culinary art students from County Vocational-Technical schools of Bergen, Camden, Cape May, Cumberland, Essex, Hudson, Hunterdon, Mercer, Middlesex, Morris, and Passaic Counties applied and were selected to compete for awards in the categories of taste, creativity, and presentation. Each team had a budget of $500 to prepare and present 400 portions of a single hors d’oeuvre or appetizer. NJAC county officials and business members, professional chefs, and registered conference attendees had the difficult task of judging the savory dishes.

Gold: Cape May County Tech
Silver: Cumberland County Technical Education Center and Essex County Vocational Technical Schools – North 13th Street Campus
Bronze: Mercer County School of Technology

Gold: Cumberland County Technical Education Center and Mercer County School of Technology
Silver: Hunterdon County Polytech HS
Bronze: Hudson Schools of Technology and Middlesex County Vocational and Technical Schools – Perth Amboy Campus
AC Chefs Awards for Presentation
Gold: Middlesex County Vocational and Technical Schools – Perth Amboy Campus and Passaic County Technical Institute
Silver: Mercer County Technical School
Bronze: Camden County Technical Schools – Penn Tech, Essex County Vocational and Technical Schools – North 13th Street Campus, Hudson County Schools of Technology – County Prep HS, and Hunterdon County Polytech HS
