(Trenton) Citizens Bank and the Investors Foundation awarded the NJAC Foundation a grant of $21,000.00 for county vocational-technical  school graduates who plan on continuing their education at a county college or state college or university in the fall.

“On behalf of the Board of Trustees of the NJAC Foundation, I’m thrilled that Citizens Bank & the Investors Foundation have awarded this generous grant; and, I look forward to working with our county vocational-technical schools in selecting scholarship winners committed to advancing their education in the great State of New Jersey,” said NJAC Foundation President Teri O’Connor.

Under the grant, the NJAC Foundation will award two $500.00 scholarships to well- deserving students in all twenty-one counties as recommended by their school superintendents with special thanks to the New Jersey Council of County Vocational Technical Schools for their help in selecting outstanding candidates. Incredibly, since 2011, the Investors Foundation, now in collaboration with Citizens Bank, has awarded the NJAC Foundation grants totaling $242,000.00. These monies have helped nearly 300 county vocational-technical school graduates continue their education at home in the Garden State.

“I’m grateful that Citizens Bank and the Investors Foundation have once again partnered with the NJAC Foundation on this wonderful opportunity to provide county vocational-technical school graduates with valuable scholarships that will help them and their families meet the ever- increasing financial demands of pursuing a quality education,” commented O’Connor.

The NJAC Foundation is a non-profit organization affiliated with the New Jersey Association of Counties (NJAC) and is committed to providing innovative educational opportunities for county vocational-technical school and county college students.
